Dark Bloodstone Small Tumbled Stones
Beautiful cryptocrystalline stones.
The more scientific name for bloodstone is heliotrope. It is a variety of jasper and is one of the traditional birthstones for March.
Jasper, an aggregate of microgranular quartz and/or chalcedony and other mineral phases, is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red, yellow, brown or green in colour. Unlike agate, jasper is opaque and light does not shine through it.
These stones have been fully tumbled to develop a smooth polished finish.
Description of Dark Bloodstone
These Bloodstones are very deep green opaque stones with splatters of red. The red colour stands out in stark contrast to the deep green.
