Deliveries within South Africa
You can collect from our office but only by prior arrangement. You can also send your own courier to collect from our office but this must be made clear to us so that your order is packed and boxed for courier transport. For security and admin reasons no collections can be made directly from our factory or warehouse. Note that our office is not a shop and we do not have card facilities. You will need to make payment prior to collection or bring cash. If you select the "collection" option on checkout we will notify you when your order is ready,
For all non-collections we will use a courier or freight service of our choice to deliver purchased goods to you.
We will do our best to deliver within any time that is communicated to you. We suggest that you allow a day or two safety margin in the delivery time but if your order is delivered after the stipulated period we do offer a collect and refund option. We will not, under any circumstances, be liable for consequential losses that you incur due to late delivery; the limit of our liability in this regard is the value of the order.
During the period between Black Friday and Christmas all courier companies are extremely busy so allow for extra delays and take public holidays into account. After Christmas until the end of the first week in January, many courier services are not available so allow for extra delays and take public holidays into account.
Please note that if you select a delivery address that is a significant distance from any city or town (including farms and rural areas) then the delivery time given may not be applicable and common sense should prevail. We retain the right to cancel orders that may require delivery to places that we cannot deliver to at reasonable cost. In such instances we will give a full refund if payment has already been made.
If your order is urgent we request that you contact our sales office (sales@bastionpaint.co.za) and communicate this to them. Please provide your Order Confirmation or Invoice Number. If you do not use our online PayFast payment system, and choose to pay by normal EFT, then please email us proof of payment to avoid any delays. Proof of payments should be sent from your bank's email address to us (not from a private email to us).
After dispatch we will send you the name and contact of the delivering courier as well as the waybill / tracking number.
If you contact our office we are able to offer some delivery flexibility for example:
- We can delay shipment if you request.
- In some major centres, if you are not able to receive goods from a courier, we can arrange for the goods to be held at the courier depot for your collection.
- If you request a specific service that is not standard to us (e.g. Post Net) we will try to accommodate you but extra charges may apply.
Deliveries outside South Africa (some additional points)
Our system may automatically generate a shipping charge for delivery to other counties. If your country has this facility set up in our system then we will adhere to our commitments.
For all other countries you will initially receive an Order Confirmation document that shows the Shipping charge as "Pending". Our office will insert the applicable delivery charge and send you a revised Order Confirmation document that you can use to make payment.

Orders delivered by us outside of South Africa will not be charged VAT. You will receive a Commercial Invoice and the original will accompany your goods. Depending on the regulations in your country you may be required to pay import taxes and VAT to your own revenue authority. Such fees vary from country to country and from product to product. We are not responsible for the payment of these fees and they are not included in your payment to us.
