Banded Carnelian Small Tumbled Stones
Beautiful cryptocrystalline stones.
Carnelian is an orange coloured mineral commonly used as a semi-precious gemstone. It is a variety of the silica mineral chalcedony coloured by impurities of iron oxide. It is composed of both quartz and moganite crystal structures. (Moganite has the same chemical formula as quartz but crystallizes with a different structure.)
These stones have been fully tumbled to develop a smooth polished finish.
Description of Carnelian
Translucent orange stones with beautiful white parallel bands. The colour is translucent and light can penetrate right through the stones.
