Snowflake Epidote Small Tumbled Stones
Epidote is a silicate mineral but has a complex chemical formula, Ca2(Al2,Fe)(SiO4)(Si2O7)O(OH). In simple terms, it forms as a replacement of other minerals in rocks that undergo changes.
In these rocks, epidote is often associated with amphiboles, feldspars, quartz, and chlorite. It occurs as replacements of mineral grains that have been altered by metamorphism. It is frequently found in veins that cut granite.
Green Epidote is also one of the two minerals present in unakite stones.
These stones have been fully tumbled to develop a smooth polished finish.
