Liquid Wax Release Agent for Moulds
This is a water-based, liquid release agent used in composite processing. The product is especially easy to apply and polish – while exhibiting very short drying times, fast and effortless polishing to mirror polish. The resulting release film is temperature stable up to 250°C. Liquid Wax Release Agent can be used as release agent for the purpose of processing polyester, vinyl-ester and epoxy resins.
Liquid Wax is easy to apply to complex moulds. A little goes a long way.
Cured epoxy resin will release easily from the mould thereby saving time and extending the life of expensive moulds.
Directions for use
- Drip Liquid Wax Release Agent from the dropper bottle into the mould and spread by tilting or using a lint free cloth.
- Allow the wax to dry fully to a white powder (this may take 30 minutes or more).The white powder indicates dryness and allows you to be sure the wax has been applied all over.
- Rub with a lint free cloth until the powder is no longer visible.
Resin Release Wax vs. Liquid Wax Release Agent
Our Resin Release Wax (400ml) is significantly cheaper than Liquid Wax Release Agent but it is hard to apply into moulds with complex details as it does not flow. Our Resin Release Wax (400ml) is perfect for flat surfaces (such as the sides of a river table casting or edges of a bar counter) where it can be applied like a floor polish. This Liquid Release Wax is more practical for complex moulds.
Keep out of reach of children
All our products should be kept out of reach of children under 5 years and anybody who may tend to place items or liquids in their mouths should be supervised. Even packing can become a choking hazard.
