Hematite Quartz Crystals
Introducing Hematite
Hematite, (also spelled as haematite) is the mineral form of iron (III) oxide (Fe2O3), one of several iron oxides. These natural quartz crystals have inclusions of hematite. Hematite can be a range of colours but in these crystals the hematite inclusions are predominantly a brick red colour.
Description of these crystals
The inclusion of hematite mineral in these quartz crystals creates effects that range from brick red speckles to streaks to almost entirely reddish crystals. In-between the hematite the quartz is clear to milky white.
Most of the crystals are between 10-50mm in length (the majority around 30-40mm long) and 5-10mm in width. Some units will however contain a small number of larger crystals. The shape varies significantly with most having termination points but many are not a 'perfect crystal shape'; they are natural crystals and they look natural.
You will receive crystals with a range of sizes and shapes and that vary in the amount of reddish hematite inclusion. The pictures show typical 100g and 500g units and are a good representation of what you will receive if you order.
