Fluorite Rough, Unprocessed Stones

Fluorite is a mineral of calcium fluoride, CaF2.
Fluorite occurs in various colours but these stones are predominantly green. A characteristic of fluorite is that that it tends to have a translucent nature (light can shine through).
Fluorite has a crystalline structure.

Unprocessed stones that have not been tumbled or polished.

Description of these Fluorite Rough Stones

These fluorite stones are predominantly green with white patches and strands that gives them the appearance of having been sprinkled with caster sugar. While the majority of stones are green, some are almost colourless with only a hint of colour such a purple or yellow.
They have a highly translucent nature and when light is shone through them they appear to light up or glow a whitish colour. Their full visual potential will be realised in projects that have light shining from behind the stones. A resin project utilizing this concept springs to mind.

Compared to our Aventurine Unprocessed Stones, fluorite is more translucent. When light is shone though the stones, fluorite appears to glow white while aventurine tends to appear green.

These stones have not been processed in any way so have a natural stone appearance.

It is important to see the pictures to know exactly what the appearance is. Our pictures do not showcase the best, they are as realistic as possible and include a R1 coin to demonstrate the actual size.
