About Invisible UV Paint
This paint is invisible on many surface types in normal light and glows vividly under Ultraviolet (UV) light.
Commonly used for security marking and for special effects where UV lights will be used.
A pure acrylic paint with Super Adhesion Technology that can be applied directly onto many surface types.
Common Applications:
- Mark items that you may want to identify later. Frequently used for ownership or theft identification by shining a UV light onto the item.
- Mark items for tamper identification. If the end of your cable was painted but the end no longer glows under UV light then somebody cut some off.
- Apply it to you vehicle filters to see if they really do get changed during your vehicle service.
- Use for secret writing and pictures. Only people with UV light will be able to see it.
- Used in night clubs and parties where the paint glows under UV light.
Limitations
Not fully invisible on surfaces like glass where it gives a whitish appearance.
The active ingredient is damaged by sunlight so it is sold as an interior paint. It can be used for short-term exterior applications. Also note that long-term repeat exposure to UV light will reduce the glow strength so using this paint for complex UV artworks, that will be costly to re-do, is not recommended.
Super Adhesion Technology
Pure acrylic paint with Super Adhesion Technology. This paint can be applied directly to masonry, plastics, melamine, resins, wall tiles, non-corroding metals*, ridged rubbers, fabrics and interior wood.
*Non corroding metals include aluminium, galvanized steel, stainless steel copper, bronze and brass.
Surface Preparation
As with any normal paint, surfaces should be clean, grease free and must not have a flaking or powdery nature or damp problems from below the surface.
Lightly sand plastic and resin surfaces with a fine grit sandpaper prior to applying the paint.
Keep out of reach of children
All our products should be kept out of reach of children under 5 years and anybody who may tend to place items or liquids in their mouths should be supervised. Even packing can become a choking hazard.
